Learn Engineering behind 'Da Vinci Chariot'

Leonardo Da Vinci a great Italian Scientist from 14th Century whose interest spreaded in many areas like invention, painting, sculpting, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering and many others. He amazed the world with his extraordinary thinking and ahead of time engineering designs.

The Scythed Chariot that Leonardo invented would be attached to a horse. It was used to prevent the enemy from attacking the horse and also to conduct raids into a group of enemies. There is rotating blades on the front and the wheels were spiked. There was also blades at the back. These blades would be used to attack the enemy.

Funvention has redesigned this Chariot with its own way of uniqueness. This Chariot can be described in two parts.

Engine (rare) Gear Box

The driver engine is made up of two gears which acts as mechanism to store rubber bands elastic energy. The combination of Small & Big gear functions differently in reverse/forward operation.

i.e. When you pull the Chariot in backward direction, the gear attached with rare wheels drives the bigger gear transforming speed into force so that the rubber band attached to it get stretched and stores the elasticity energy around the shaft.

Once you release the Chariot, an energy stored in rubber band gives rotation to the gears in reverse direction. This energy or force get transformed into speed through small gear which again rotate the wheels attached to it and the Chariot moves forward.

Front Gear Box

The Chariot moves ahead using power & speed generated by Engine Gear Box. It force to move front wheels in the same direction. The set of gears from front gear box then shift the rotations by 90 degree and results in rotation of Blades attached to it.
